TERZAGHI ORATION given by Professor Antonio Gens.

At the 20th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering held in Sydney last May, the TERZAGHI ORATION was given by Professor Antonio Gens.

This is the honorary conference of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) instituted to recognize a person of distinction in his outstanding contribution to geotechnical engineering and in his services to the International Society. It takes place on the occasion of the ISSMGE International Congress and as a tribute to Professor Karl Terzaghi, the first president of the International Society.
