8th Portuguese-Spanish Geotechnical Day, Lisbon. august 23th, 2024
The 8th Portuguese-Spanish Geotechnical Day (8th JLEG). It is a joint organization of LNEC, the Portuguese Society of Geotechnics (SPG), the Brazilian Association of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ABMS) and the Spanish Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (SEMSIG). It is intended to provide technical and scientifc exchange between geotechnicians from the three countries, facilitated by face-to-face interaction, in a formula that has proved successful in the previous editions, of which the most recent ones in Campinas, within the scope of COBRAMSEG 2022, and in Mieres, in the framework of the XI National Symposium of Geotechnical Engineering.
Themes
The lemma of the event is “New paradigms in Geotechnics”, subdivided into three themes: Theme 1 – Innovation in geotechnical characterization Theme 2 – Innovation in safety and observation of geotechnical structures Theme 3 – Sustainability in Geotechnics
The event is organized into three thematic sessions corresponding to the themes. Within the scope of the 12th CLBG, the IX Victor de Mello Lecture will be given by Professor David Hight with the title “Characterisation of soils: the continuing importance of fabric and anisotropy”, which will take place in the fourth and last session of the program.
You can access the bulletin through the address http://12clb_8jle.lnec.pt/
We invite the geotechnicians from Brazil, Spain and Portugal to submit papers on one of the themes of the event in Portuguese, Spanish or English languages.
